Visually, I find the repetition of two is the most appropriate to represent an agnostic point of view. Two incidents of repetition, or two similar occurrences bare a suggestion of potential pattern or design, but only equivocally so. Two is well on the way to being repeated again in a potential third occurrence, which may then confirm the pattern beyond doubt. Perhaps ‘three’ resonates best with some kind of spiritual conviction, and a single occurrence remains a wildly random phenomenon and may better represent an atheistic point of view.
